Memory America has new modules for older computer systems such as the IBM RS/6000 POWERstation/POWERserver 25W. RS/6000 computers and servers debuted in the early 1990s and use 72-pin EDO SIMM memory. Our modules are guaranteed to be compatible with this computer. This machine has 16MB of standard memory that is removable and has eight expansion slots that can support a maximum of 256MB. The SIMMs to be installed in the expansion slots must be 32MB or less and the modules must be installed in groups of four as the eight expansion slots are divided into two banks of four slots. If you add SIMMs to the expansion slots, you must remove the standard memory as 32MB of memory across eight slots will add up to 256MB of memory.
